The Horn of Africa Blind Society is founded for the educational benefits of the Somali blind and partially sighted.
The society aims to offer the chance for rehabilitation, training and education for the blind.
The society has successfully developed a Somali Braille alphabet.
They have twelve-week courses intended for the Somali speaking sighted people to make communicating possible for families of the blind.
The Society works both in the UK and abroad.
Their long-term goals are to establish education programmes, organise courses, training and events.
